Branigan Library Offers Free Computer Classes in February 2019

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library is pleased to announce that free computer literacy classes will be held in the Computer Training Lab, second floor, during the month of February. Registration is not required, however, only the first 9 attendees will be guaranteed a computer. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops if space permits.

Windows 10 Basics - Tuesday, February 12, 2 - 4 p.m.

This class will teach students how to navigate the most recent operating system. Topics that will be covered is the new Start Menu, Cortana and how to customize the desktop. Basic computer skills are required.

Resume Tips – Thursday, February 14, 2 – 4 p.m.

A class for those who are interested in creating a dynamic job resume. Students will learn how to use Microsoft Word resume template. Basic computer and Microsoft Word skills is requested.

Microsoft Word Basics – Tuesday, February 19, 2 – 4 p.m.

A class for those who are beginning to use Microsoft Word. Students will learn how to create and format basic documents. Basic computer skills are required.

Advanced Microsoft Word – Thursday, February 21, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

A class for those who want to learn to do more using Microsoft Word. Students will learn how make dynamic documents by importing pictures and tables. Saving documents to the cloud will also be discussed.

Microsoft Excel Basics – Tuesday, February 19, 2 – 4 p.m.

A class for those who are beginning to use Microsoft Excel. Students will learn how to create and format basic spreadsheets. Basic computer skills are required.

Advanced Microsoft Excel – Thursday, February 28, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

A class for those who want to learn some advanced functions of Excel. Students will learn how to sort and filter tables and how to apply styles for easier viewing.
