Libraries as Launchpads 2019

From now until February 17th, individuals wanting to open their own small business or those who have already begun have an amazing opportunity! Startups across southern New Mexico will have access to a new business promotion program, Libraries as Launchpads, offered by Creative Startups, a globally recognized, New Mexico-based business accelerator.

Creative Startups LABS Pre-Accelerator is a free, five-week, intensive, business bootcamp for creative entrepreneurs. This class will be hosted at local participating libraries. The program will comprise online and hands-on entrepreneurship education. Though the modules are designed for individual learning, there will also be several opportunities to network and collaborate with like-minded creative business people. Throughout the coursework, participants will be putting their learning into real-world practice. At all times, in both the online environment and through face-to-face interactions, new business leaders will be supported in their acquisition of knowledge and skills.

Entrepreneurs with an idea they want to bring to life, a prototype they want to take to market, or a small business they want to grow are all invited to apply! The application window is open now through February 17th. Participating New Mexico libraries include: Anthony, Deming, Hatch, Hobbs, Las Cruces, Los Lunas, Lovington, Silver City, and Socorro.
