Archeology Day at Branigan Cultural Center 2019
People have lived in the Las Cruces area for more than 10,000 years. How much do you know about the ancient history of our area? Join the Branigan Cultural Center and other agencies and archeologists for our 10th annual Archeology Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 23.
Join us as we encourage families to learn about the connections to the land by participating in many hands-on activities. Archaeologists and professionals from New Mexico Historic Sites, Eastern New Mexico’s Blackwater Draw Museum, and more, will be present to showcase their profession to the public. Join us and learn about archaeology through fun demonstrations and interactive activities. Also, get the chance to hear about some of the ways that archaeologists contribute to our local community. Archaeology Day is free and open to the public.
Admission is free to the Branigan Cultural Center, located at 501 North Main Street. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 4:30pm on Saturday. For addition information call (575) 541-2154.
