“Food Waste Management on a Micro Level” at Branigan Cultural Center 2019
Mountain View Market Co+op will present “Food Waste Management on a Micro Level: What You Can Do to Reduce Food Waste” at 11 a.m. March 16, 2019 at the Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main St.
Staff members from Mountain View Market Co+op will showcase tips, techniques, and concepts for managing and minimizing food waste at the home level. The program is in conjunction with Branigan Cultural Center’s current exhibit Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture, toured by the American Museum of Natural History.
Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture is an exhibit that elicits conversation about crop diversity, food waste, scarcity, and abundance as well as the future and means of production. The exhibit will be on display from March 1, 2019 until Saturday, April 20, 2019.
Admission is free to the Branigan Cultural Center. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday. For information call 575/541-2154.
