“We wanted everyone celebrating this graduation season to feel like royalty, so we brought in some world-class performers to kick off the celebration,” said Phil San Filippo, economic development director with the City of Las Cruces. “With so much growth happening downtown, we hope everyone will come out and experience all that downtown Las Cruces has to offer.”
Karla Perez as the Selena Show, is a singer and performer originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Perez’s music career began at the age of 12. When she was 18, she won first place in a Selena singing competition and her career exploded taking her to some of the biggest stages in Mexico and the United States.
Purple Madness, a tribute to Prince, is the ultimate celebration of the most widely beloved entertainer and profoundly influential artist of all-time. Bobby Miller presents an electrifying performance that can be best described as high energy and a “must see” performance. The Prince Purple Madness Tribute Show has all but perfected every nuance in recreating the sights and sounds of the artist Prince.
Queen Nation, a tribute to Queen, was formed in 2004. Queen Nation consists of: Joe Retta or Gregory Finsley on vocals & keyboards as Freddie Mercury, Mike McManus on guitar as Brian May, Pete Burke on drums as Roger Taylor, and Parker Combs on bass as John Deacon. The mission of the show is to carry on the musical torch and preserve the image, sound, and stage persona of vintage Queen.
