Thomas Branigan Memorial Library Presents “The Wonder of Nature” 2019
In an era where few women were in the sciences, marine biologist Rachel Carson became famous for her efforts to protect wildlife and food sources from uncontrolled use of the chemical DDT. The Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, in conjunction with The New Mexico Humanities Council and the Friends of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, invite you to join Chautauqua performer Ms. Ann Beyke at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 to learn more about the life of this famed scientist. The program is free and open to all members of the public.

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday. The library is located at 200 E. Picacho Avenue, Las Cruces, New Mexico.
